Raised between Spain, Switzerland and England, de Prat i Pont was always drawn to art, allurement and quality, starting his early foray into the collecting field with minerals and ancient coins.
Years of visiting museums, exhibitions, collections and auctions were the foundation for a trained eye. It was one warm summer evening in the Costa Brava, that a particular encounter with a brilliant man, changed the course of his life. Meeting Baron H.H Thyssen-Bornemisza put him in the art path, there was no turning back.
He gave him the encouragement and determination to pursue a passion. de Prat i Pont studied Art History at the University of Barcelona, Manchester and Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. This led to noteworthy tenures at the most prestigious auction houses and prominent art collections in London, Paris and the USA. Haled to the energetic diversity and cultural magnetism of the art
world capital, the business relocated to this magnificent city of London.
